Public dashboards & sharing

Hand someone a URL. They see the data. No login.

Creating a public dashboard

  1. Open your site, click Share in the toolbar.
  2. Click Create public dashboard.
  3. Optionally add a password and an expiry date.
  4. Pick which metrics are visible (visitors, top pages, sources, locations, and so on).
  5. Save. Copy the share URL.

The URL has the form glyphex.io/public/<random-slug>. The slug is unguessable, so the link itself is the access control.

Access controls

Password

Optional. Viewers enter the password once and get a 1-hour session. Set this if the link might be forwarded unintentionally.

Expiry

Optional. Pick a date and the link stops working after that. Useful for time-bound client engagements or campaign reports.

Visible metrics

Choose which sections appear in the public view. Hide referrers but show visitor totals, hide goals but show countries, whatever suits the audience.

What public dashboards include

  • Visitor and pageview counts with change vs the previous period.
  • 7-day visitor chart.
  • Top pages, top sources, and country breakdown, whichever you turned on.
  • Time range selector (24h, 7d, 30d, 90d).

Public dashboards are read-only. Viewers cannot change settings, manage goals, or invite others.

Managing existing links

From the Share page you can:

  • Disable a link without deleting it (re-enable later).
  • Delete a link to permanently revoke access.
  • Create multiple links for the same site: different passwords, expiries, and metric sets per audience.

Use cases

Client deliverable

One link per client, password protected, expires at the end of the engagement. Add their email to scheduled reports for a weekly recap they do not have to chase.

Open metrics

Some sites publish their stats publicly as a transparency signal. Make a no-password link with all metrics enabled, link to it from your homepage.

Internal stakeholders

Execs and board members who care about the numbers but do not want a Glyphex login. A password-protected link covers it. For full-access teammates, use team invites instead.
