Attribution report
Find out which traffic source earns the credit for a conversion.
Where to find it
Open Conversions and switch to the Attribution tab. Pick one goal or all goals, choose a model, then group the results by channel, referrer, UTM source, UTM medium or UTM campaign. You need at least one goal.
The two models
- First click - the source of the visitor's first visit that day.
- Last click - the source of the visit in which the goal was completed. We use the entry page of the converting session, not the latest referrer, so redirects through sign-in or payment pages rarely take the credit. Visits with no referrer or UTM show as "Direct".
Each column of results adds up to your total conversions under that model. Share is a row's conversions divided by that total.
Same-day limitation
Glyphex does not use cookies. Visitor ids are salted and reset every day, so we cannot link a visit on Monday to a purchase on Friday. Attribution is within the visitor's session day: the history we look at starts at midnight UTC of the day the conversion happened.
First click and last click differ only when the visitor came back from a second source the same day. Otherwise both models credit the same source.
Filters
Country, device, UTM source and hostname filters narrow page-view goals, exactly as they do on the Goals tab, so the totals always match. Event goals cannot be filtered by location or device, because events do not store those fields. With All goals, a page view that matches two goals counts for each.
