Traffic alerts

Get notified the moment traffic moves, without watching a dashboard.

What an alert does

An alert is a rule that watches one metric on one site: visitors or pageviews. Every check, Glyphex compares that metric's value over the last 24 hours against a threshold you set, in either direction: above (a spike) or below (a drop). When the rule is breached, you get notified.

Setting one up

Open Site settings > Alerts and add a rule with:

  • Metric: visitors or pageviews.
  • Direction: notify when the value goes above or below the threshold.
  • Threshold: the number that triggers the alert.
  • Notify via: email or webhook.

Where alerts go

Choose email or a webhook per rule:

  • Email: sent to the address you enter, or to the site owner if you leave it blank.
  • Webhook: an https URL that receives a Slack- or Discord-compatible payload, so the alert can post straight into a channel.

How often it fires

Rules are checked on a recurring schedule. Once a rule breaches and notifies you, it waits 24 hours before it can fire again, so a prolonged drop or spike sends one notification instead of a flood.

Managing your alerts

Every rule can be enabled, disabled, or deleted from Site settings > Alerts. Disabling a rule keeps its configuration without deleting it, useful while you are testing thresholds.

Availability

Traffic alerts are available on the Starter plan and up. If your plan does not include them, the Alerts panel links to billing to upgrade.

Pair alerts with live mode

An alert tells you something changed. Open live mode to see what is happening right now.
